Driver Risk Management Services

Hello

I’m Adrian Hide, a road safety expert with over 30 years in driver risk management across both private and public sectors. I’m driven by a passion for making our roads safer.

What I do

I help businesses understand and meet their duty of care obligations under Health & Safety law. Together, we’ll create and run a tailored driver risk management programme that fits your business needs and keeps your team safe. My online driver training courses offer a smart, cost-effective way to equip your staff with essential skills for safe, fuel-efficient driving

Why I do what I do

Tragically, road collisions claim more lives than any other work-related activity. Over a quarter of all crashes involve someone driving for work at the time. Managing driver risk isn’t just a legal requirement; it’s the right thing to do. It’s about protecting people, your business, your brand, and your reputation.

How I can help

Whether you’re a business, charity, educational institution, or non-profit, your duty of care to those driving for your organisation is the same. Here’s how I can support you.

Did you know?

Once a business reaches five or more employees, the health and safety landscape changes massively, requiring documented arrangements to be put in place to manage workplace safety.

If any of your staff drive as part of their role, these arrangements must cover their driving activities.

The challenge is that most businesses don’t have an in-house driver safety expert. As a result, they likely lack the essential policies, procedures, and systems needed to manage driver safety in line with health and safety legislation.

If you’re a responsible employer and committed to protecting your staff, and want to meet your duty of care obligations, read on to discover how Adrian can help you.

Managing workplace road safety

Every business is unique, but one constant remains; the law, it requires driver safety to be managed, no matter what their structure, whether it’s a commercial entity, a charity, non-profit, or educational establishment. Failing to comply with health and safety legislation can lead to hefty fines, typically starting at 20% of turnover or income, or even prison sentences for senior Directors and Managers under Corporate Manslaughter laws if a serious on-road incident occurs.

Below, Adrian explains how he can help you.

To help businesses protect themselves, their brand, reputation and most importantly, their people, Adrian has crafted two options:

A DIY approach will suit those with experience in rolling out a strong driver risk management programme, but might just lack the necessary resources.

Might this be what you are looking for?

Most businesses don’t have an in-house driver safety expert or the time and resources to implement a solid driver safety programme, so they’d likely prefer to bring in an expert.
